Since 1890, Duncan Galvanizing has been building a solid reputation in the market­place as a leader in the protective coat­ings industry. Duncan's name and repu­tation have come to stand for quality and longevity: Quality in products and serv­ices, longevity in terms of metal protec­tion, and longevity in terms of the com­pany itself, still expanding and prosper- . ing after 100 years. Duncan will preserve this tradition of quality and longevity well into the next century- and beyond.

Proud of the present:

Duncan's metal protection processes contribute to all the diverse and neces­sary elements of modem life. As corro­sion problems worsen, currently costing the U.S. $222 billion per year, the need for metal protection increases. Duncan is growing to keep pace with this increased demand. An entirely new facility is under­way, and Duncan will shortly have the ability to triple its production of over 20 million lbs. of galvanizing, N1GALv®, PRIMERGAL v®, and CoLORGAL v® per year.

Planning for the future:

Duncan's vision of the future includes total metal protection, and pollution-free facilities. What does Duncan expect of itself? According to Duncan's senior officers, Barry and Richard Brooks, "we expect to meet today's commitments to the environment, to uphold our responsi­bilities to the community and to our em­ployees, and to provide the finest serv­ice and quality in the industry."

The Duncan Group: Metal protection is our business - our only business

The past one hundred years have seen little change in the actual process of hot-dip galvanizing. In fact, despite the rapid technological growth in all areas of science and industry, galvanizing is still the same - and still as successful as ever. Which means, according to Duncan's Barry and Richard Brooks, "that we are doing it right!" Though the process itself has remained virtually unchanged, the past century has been one of tremendous change and growth and expansion for Duncan. The company that had its relatively humble beginnings as a galvanizer of meat hooks has now grown into a group of three related companies, which together are prepared to lead the metal-protection industry into the next century.
